Heartfelt.

Heartfelt - wholehearted awareness - requires we give space and compassion to our emotional lives. It’s helpful to give ourselves our full attention. 
.
To hold our emotional life at bay is to truncate the depth of our hearts, our senses and connection to self and others. 
.
This week we’re practicing with the meditation and journaling group - A Path With Joy - paying attention to what makes our heart swell, or feel full. And what thoughts cause too much rent and drain the heart. It’s good to write a list, self-reflect and release.  We can get out of our head and onto paper and let go beliefs that are not helpful or life giving. 
.
This is not about perfectionism. This is about moment to moment heartfelt self-discovery. Being in touch with the daily changes and adjustments as we live our way into a new season. 
.
Tonight in yoga class we’ll with a guided meditation on the heart and how to cultivate listening below the level of the mind’s stories for peace, self-acceptance and courage.
