Grief is part of life and love. Writing memoir and life stories around grief are a large part of the catharsis of writing, art making and healing.

I met up with Charlene Lam, friend and grief coach @curating_grief in San Pancho, Mexico, during her pop-up exhibition about her mother’s sudden death.
.
Charlene inspired me to think more deeply about curating memories. On the spot, she gave me two pink index cards and I wrote a letter to my grandparents thanking them for introducing me as a child to Mexico, and sharing its stunning beauty and culture.
