Self-awareness can be an adventure into the flowering of your authenticity and true potential.
We begin with a simple choice.
We can beat ourselves up and judge ourselves or we can stop.
Take a breath.
Pause and begin again.
Ask: Can I let go of disapproving or judging myself?
Yes.
Can I compassionately love and approve of myself?
Practice. For one breath. Witness you have a choice.
Judgement = Disapproval.
Pause and decide = Compassionately approve and love yourself.
Which do you choose?
The poet Kabir writes,
“Don’t go outside your house to see the flowers.
My friend, don’t bother with the excursion.
Inside your body there are flowers.
One flower has a thousand petals.
That will do for a place to sit.
Sitting there you will have a glimpse of beauty
inside the body and out of it,
before gardens and after gardens.”
When we pay attention on purpose, in the present moment, without judgement, what’s possible?
Everything. We set ourselves free. One breath at a time.
We awaken to the simplicity of moment to moment awareness.
The point of our practice is to gain who we are when we release the thinking fearing, judging Mind, and surrender to the Witness, the Observer that is Awareness it’s self.
For practice: Set aside 20 minutes of quiet time to go within.
Sit back and listen to the guided meditation. Or listen and journal.
Peace: The Inside FloweringThe place of peace in always within.
Thank you for sharing your practice with me,
