Limited to 12 participants

As the leaves change, this workshop offers creative space and time to value yourself, notice what is changing in and around you and receive creative prompts for self-discovery among warm, wise women.

September is “back to school” and the end of summer. This can feel sad, offputting, or full of growing pains (or at least for Jennifer).

Rather than rushing to figure things out, our time and practice will be to stay curious, give ourselves permission to observe  and be creative from the body. What happens when you slow down, give yourself an hour to focus on your own being, and explore what’s here?

A Daily Diary: Notes on Being Here is a guided creative practice for women who want space for their inner and creative lives – to notice, reflect, write, sketch, and discover.

Through meditation, poetry and micro-memoir readings, writing, and creative exploration, you will have a quiet place to listen to yourself, focus and follow what emerges. You might write, sketch, draw, paint, make a collage, or work in whatever medium helps you explore and value your experience.

You don’t need to think of yourself as a writer or an artist. You simply bring yourself, your curiosity, and permission to allow your creativity.

The diary becomes a place to take notes of what you see, hear, smell, taste, touch, think, feel, question, and envision.

A diary can be a visioning and remembering space. And you don’t have to do it alone.

We gather in the warmth of a small community of women – a place to listen, share, be witnessed, and discover alongside one another. We aren’t here to critique each other’s work. We listen for what is alive: a resonant word, an image, an unexpected insight.

Our 60 minutes together

  • Guided meditation – arrive, settle, and become present
  • Poetry or short reading – an opening into literary inspiration, attention and imagination
  • A writing or creative prompt – a simple invitation to write
  • 10 minutes of quiet exploration – uninterrupted time to write, sketch, draw, paint, collage, or create
  • 10 more minutes – anything else you need to say on the page
  • Optional sharing – hear and see what others have discovered
  • Warm response rather than critique – we listen for what resonates, especially language, images, and ideas
  • Closing Gratitude – what did you gain from showing up?

This is a small, intimate gathering with limited spots, created for connection, creative courage, and genuine discovery.

Come with:

– a pen, notebook or sketchbook and whatever materials you like to explore and work with

– your own permission to be curious

– a sense of calm, adventure into expressing your own dear life

“I wrote something this morning I’ve been putting off forever. It felt terrific. I’m positive I would not have been able to write this or seen what I did to create it without Jennifer’s class and guidance. She is a gift and fantastic at what she does.”  – RH
